AgileIQ - Device Setup
11Device Setup
Installation
In this module you will learn how to configure the devices and install them in the protected space.
This equipment and any associated work must be installed in accordance with all relevant codes and regulations
Installation
There are only a few steps to a successful installation.
- Set the Device Address
- Configure the Sounder Settings
- Configure the system
- Install the bases
Addressing
The rotary switches used on AgileIQTM system are shared with many addressable devices across the fire industry and should be familiar to most installers.
- The address should be set before the batteries are installed
- The rotary switches are made to be turned using a flat bladed screwdriver
- The device's address is a combination of both switches
- In the example shown here the address is 128
Rotary Switch Location
The rotary switches can be found on the underside of all of the AgileTM range.
This short video shows their location on a few example devices.
RF Sounder support
The AgileIQTM RF Sounder
In this section you will learn how to add a wireless sounder to your layout and the additional features with AgileIQ that allow you to specify the sounder volume and alarm sound
- The sounder is only supported by Gateways running firmware version 212101 or above. The firware version can be found on the product label on the back of the Gateway.
- To configure the RF Sounder you will need AgileIQTM version 3.4.5 or above. This is available from the System Sensor website: www.systemsensoreurope.com
- Sounders are synchronised on when installed over the same gateway. Sounders installed over different gateways or mixed wireless/wired sounders may not synchronise.
RF Sounder Configuration & Volume
In this video you will learn how to add an RF Sounder to your layout and the additional features within AgileIQTM that allow you tospecify the sounder volumne and tone selection.
Programming
To program the devices and create the network all the devices must be powered and set to their required address
- A wizard is available in AgileIQTM to walk the user through the process
- Using AgileIQTM and the USB RF Dongle the Gateway can be commissioned
- The Gaeway will distribute the network information to the remaining devices in the system
- A full explanation of the process can be found in the Programming and Commissioning manual available on the System Sensor Europe website.
B501RF
Most of the RF devices use a unique version of the standard B501 base called the B501RF
The devices must be physically located as per the AgileIQTM plan.
- Radio system devices must be spaced a minimum of 1m apart
- The B501RF base uses standard mounting hole dimensions, making it simple to replace a non RF device with an RF device
- The base includes an anti-tamper feature
- If the head is removed an alert message is signaled to the CIE via the Gateway
